Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. I hope you’ll find encouragement and refreshment here. My goal is for you to be uplifted and moved toward a fuller life. That’s my purpose for writing.
I’m Erin – a wife, mother of two, friend to many and daughter of the one, true King. People often describe me as outgoing, motivating, optimistic, joyful, and faithful. It’s true.
My glass is half-full. I haven’t met a stranger. I love adventure and new experiences. I deeply value people and authentic connection. And, most of all, I believe wholeheartedly that God is good, loving, trustworthy, unfailing, and full of grace.
I have confidence in a bigger picture and greater purpose than I might be able to see on my own. My hope in Christ provides an upside beyond any human limitation. Perhaps, in this space, I can share this abounding hope and joy with you too.
Professionally, I’m a certified leadership and life coach, and speaker. I’ve been fortunate to train with some of the world’s best experts in the areas of leadership, strengths, coaching, and purpose. My university degree is in Mass Communication, so I’ve always known that connection and sharing is “my thing.” Leveraging those skills to guide others to lead, use their God-given talents and live purposeful, fulfilling and impactful lives is what really lights me up. I know it’s what I was created to do.
I’ve successfully partnered with some of the best companies and professionals in the world, and I’ve been honored to receive all kinds of great awards and accolades. Blah, blah, blah. Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful, but it’s not what defines me. You can read more detail on LinkedIn, if you’re really curious.
What I really care about it this:
“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”~ Hebrews 10:24 NIV
This scripture resonates loudly with me. It stirs something in my heart and motivates me. In fact, I’ve received it so fully that it’s become a life verse, which brings us to this blog and its purpose – my purpose.
I hope you’ll subscribe and visit regularly to be spurred on toward love and good deeds. Because of my coaching background, I’m prone to action, spurring on. I like to create movement and momentum. It doesn’t always have to be doing, but it could also be experiencing, trusting, hoping, or believing. In any case, my hope is to move you toward greater abundance, fulfillment and faith, which may also lead to love and good deeds.
Your spurring on could look a whole lot like growth – or as one of my dear friends calls it, “an equipping of the saints” – perhaps a new thought, perspective or vision, a courageous step outside of your comfort zone, a deeper or more abiding faith, a gentler spirit toward others, a fan that ignites a fire within, or an encouragement to boldly shine light. I can’t wait to see how God moves you, me and us together.
I’m so encouraged by countless stories of normal people being used by God to do His good work. I’m simply awed when He uses some of the most unsuspecting and inadequately equipped to demonstrate His power through them. There are old stories and modern day miracles where these things happen. Even today. Even with people like us – when our hearts are open; when we seek Him and His glory.
Maybe, just maybe, something here will spur us on. Maybe we’ll be inspired and used. Maybe we’ll be part of something we never expected. Maybe our eyes will be opened to a greater purpose, and maybe we’ll create more love and good works.
Maybe we only needed to be spurred on.
I hope you’ll continue to join me here. Let’s see what God does.
